The Melrose UU Church Green Sanctuary Committee and Sustainable Melrose have organized a spring Environmental Justice Film Series.
- Sat., April 25, 2-5pm “Open Sesame: The Story of Seeds” at the Melrose Public Library – seating is limited to 30, call the library ahead to check for available seating
- Sat., May 2, 10 am – 2 p.m. “The Story of Stuff ” at the Healthy Melrose Fair, Melrose Athletic Complex next to the Middle School, 350 Lynn Fells Parkway
- Sat., May 16, 7-9 pm “Oil and Water” at Melrose UU Church
- Sat., June 20, 6-9 pm Truck Farm at Melrose Public Library
The first film in the series, Open Sesame: The Story of Seeds, illuminates what is at stake and what can be done to protect the source of nearly all our food: SEEDS.
Following the film will be a special presentation by Gosia Lozinska of the Melrose Community Garden Group. She will provide a tour of the new Seed Library. Learn more about how to plant, grow and harvest from seeds.
